COMPENSATION
First, ask yourself this: Is your primary interest with modeling to get paid or is it to get
some cool images as keepsakes or to build a modeling portfolio?
All shoots are compensated, including the test shoot, but in some instances the only
compensation offered will be in the form of imagery given to the model or property owner.
If you are only interested in paid work, please indicate this on your application. You
will not be turned away, but keep in mind that you will not usually receive any photos
from shoots and you may receive fewer casting offers. Depending on the length of the
shoot, you will be paid an hourly rate or a flat day rate. A typical day rate is $150 plus
meals and transportation, if necessary.
If compensation with imagery is acceptable, this does not mean you will not be offered
paid work. Models will usually receive 5-10 of the best photos from the shoot, perhaps
more or less depending on the type, length, and relative success of the shoot. The photos
are web-resolution jpegs and are often, but not always, retouched. Images are e-mailed
or sent on a CD by regular mail usually within 1-2 weeks after the shoot. High resolution
images are not released to models, however it is possible to order high quality prints at
our cost.
Note on Use of Imagery: Models receiving photos may use such imagery for
non-commercial purposes only, such as self-promotion, to place in an online portfolio
or gallery, and to share with family or friends. Photos may not be retouched, altered,
cropped, or changed in any way without written permission. All photos are copyright
protected and these rights may not be sold, shared, or assigned to any third parties by
models without written permission from the copyright holder (Tom Fullum).
